Our approach

At Sonoran Rose Speech, our name reflects the values that guide our work. Like the Sonoran sun, we value fostering warmth and resilience. Like a rose, we believe in individual capacity to bloom in a unique way. We recognize authentic growth comes from building on strengths and that meaningful communication looks different for every person.

Our therapy is individualized, neurodiversity affirming, evidence based, and centered around each client’s personal strengths, interests, and goals. We partner with clients and their caregivers, family, educators, physicians, and other therapy providers, to develop practical and sustainable approaches for a more fulfilling, connected, and joyful life.

For children, we use child-led, play-based strategies that recognize play as a natural pathway for creating connection and learning. We strive to create an environment where children feel safe, respected, and motivated to grow.

For teens and adults, therapy is equally as personalized. We collaborate with clients to develop functional communication skills that support participation in everyday life and promote confidence in areas such as education, employment, and community events.
